" Under New Ownership "
We are pleased to announce that Explorer Sailing Skippered Charter business and the 43' Deck Saloon cutter Boldexplorer.com have now been sold and are operating under the capable ownership of Paul Kennedy.

Launched almost 2 years ago, Boldexplorer has already sailed 20,000 miles in all weathers from the Azores to Iceland and is now being prepared for her next legs.

With a Yachtmaster Instructor as Skipper we have sailed in 6 to 12 day legs, providing exciting sailing to wonderful locations, with tuition included free. We have received great feed back from our customers - and the 2003 itinerary to Scotland, Norway, Iceland, Uk and possibly the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers is getting lots of interest.

Boldexplorer.com is a great Bluewater Cruiser. She is equipped and certificated for unlimited range sailing, with a powerful cutter rig, a steel hull and deck and is sensibly and comfortably designed below for all weathers. Having lots of ventilation for the tropics and full central heating for the cooler locations.

Check back on this site for details of the upcoming itinerary.

Welcome to boldexplorer.com
in association with Explorer Sailing.

Explorer Sailing provides sailing adventures to exciting locations, with professional instruction included if you wish, at no extra cost.

You could be a total sailing 'beginner' wishing to try a new outdoor sport; maybe you will have completed some Sailing Courses and are now looking for more experience and sea miles; or finally, a Yachtmaster Ocean candidate who has completed the shorebased theory course and would now like to undertake the qualifying Ocean Passage. (If this is the case you will be able to take part in the prior preparation and planning of the passage, and then in the actual running of the vessel as a watch leader during the trip. Please discuss.)

On the last day of many Practical Sailing Courses, people often say that they wish that they could all go sailing to somewhere 'real'. To remote, beautiful or unusual locations, as well as being able to put into effect their new found sailing, boat handling, and navigational skills.

Chartering (hiring) a sailing boat offers a solution, but time often doesn't permit more than a few days "outward" sailing before you have to turn round and head for home again - usually duplicating your route.

So Explorer Sailing is offering 'real' sailing' in legs which will start and finish in different locations .You will pass through areas, chosen for their beauty, birdlife and sealife such as the Western Isles of Scotland.
